SPRING CRAFT WORKSHOP IN HONOR OF EARTH DAY 

Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 21, and join us for a pizza lunch and a Spring craft workshop after the worship service in honor of Earth Day! Crafts for both children and adults include; decorating kites and flower pots, making sun catchers, bird house and other crafts (along with sign-up sheets) will be on display in the coatroom beginning April 7. There will also be face painting! Please sign up and join in the fun and fellowship. You can also contact Pastor Mark at pastor@stjhains.org to sign up and more information. Let’s us come together and celebrate the gift we known as the Earth on Sunday, April 21st!

Rogation and Cinco de Mayo Sunday Celebration on Sunday May 5th!

Rogation Sunday is soon here when we gather to worship the Lord and ask divine blessings on this year’s seeds and crops. David Schaeffer and his clan will decorate the altar area for the day and offer an informative presentation on an aspect of farming life. To help celebrate the day, there will be a potato and taco lunch down in Fellowship Hall after the service! Everyone is invited to attend the meal. While last minute attendees are always welcome, there is a signup sheet on the Coatroom on the bulletin board. Please sign up when you are at Hain’s or call the office at 610-678-2133 and you can be added that way! This is also a great event to invite a friend or family member to attend! Join in!

Afterhours Jazz Ensemble & Choraleers

The Conrad Weiser “Afterhours” Jazz Ensemble is a by-audition group of students grades 9 - 12. The group practices several times per week January - May and performs at festivals and various venues in the CW community.


Choraleers is the chamber choir of Conrad Weiser High School. They perform for a variety of community organizations (Rotary, Lions, etc.) as well as an annual tour that takes them to East and West Elementary and Phoebe Berks Home.


No tickets necessary. Free will offering. Concert will also be live streamed www.stjhains.org.

Charter Arts Touring Choir

David MacBeth, Director


David Macbeth is a founding vocal/choral faculty member of the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts. He conducts two of the school’s five choral ensembles, along with teaching responsibilities in Advanced Placement music theory, piano, and applied vocal techniques.


David also serves as the Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, Pa, leading a comprehensive sacred music program.


He has conducted choral ensembles at world class venues such as the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC, Carnegie Hall, NYC, King’s Chapel, Boston, and the Dome Cathedral, Riga, Latvia. In 2012 David led the Charter Arts Touring Choir to a third-place finish in the advanced youth choir division of the World Choir Games.

COMMUNITY FLEA MARKET IN THE GROVE

Spring time is a great time to clean out your basements, attics and garages and get rid of all that unwanted “junk”! Remember, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure, so join us in the grove on Saturday, May 11, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and set up a table to sell your no-longer-wanted treasures. Or just swing by and see what great bargains can be had! Spaces cost $10; payment in advance appreciated. The grove is located next to the church at 591 N. Church Rd, Wernersville, PA. Contact Curt Flory at 610-207-5045 to reserve your spot. And tell your friends that might want to clean house and reserve a spot too!

MOTHER/ DAUGHTER BANQUET

Friday, May 10 @ 6:00 p.m. - Church Social Room

Attention ladies! Would you like to do something nice for your mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, or a friend for Mothers' Day? Invite them to attend the Mother/Daughter Banquet to be held on Friday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the social room. It is a family-style dinner served by the men of Hain's. Tickets will be on sale on Sunday, April 28, and Sunday, May 5, in the coat room before and after the church services.


Adults and children ages 13 and over - $10.00

Children ages 6 to 12 $6.00

Children ages 5 and under eat free
